Conservation

What we do to help:

At Dolphin Day Dreams we support marine conservation in all its forms. From using marine conservation approved sunscreen when we swim with the dolphins to minimizing pollution by swimming out to the dolphins opposed to unnecessarily using a powerboat. Conserving marine wildlife is very important and we take it very seriously.

Don't use microbead products:

Download the Beat the Bead free app and simply scan a face wash or tooth paste product before purchasing to find out its microbead value. Microbeads are little pieces of plastic that once used flow straight from the bathroom drain into the sewer system. With waste water plants not designed to filter out microbeads the 'Plastic Soup' swirls around the world's oceans dangerously affecting the planet's wildlife.

Use the Wildlife Witness app and keep a look out:

By downloading the Wildlife Witness free app anyone is able to help illegally traded and poached animals. Thousands of wildlife species are threatened by illegal and unsustainable wildlife trade. An estimated 100 million sharks are killed for their fins every year. Wildlife Witness is the first global community action tool put in place to tackle illegally traded animals and gives you the power to make a positive difference.

Petition, Pledge and Spread the word of the shark trust:

The No Limits? campaign highlights the urgent need for science-based catch limits for Blue Sharks, Shortfin Mako, Tope, smoothhounds and catsharks – species currently open to unchecked exploitation and unrestricted trade. By showing your support you could aid these species from becoming endangered.
